About HSBC Secure ePayments

You can pay your Council Tax or Business Rates, on-line with a debit card or credit card (Council Tax payments only) via HSBC Secure ePayments. Credit card payments are subject to a £2.50 surcharge.

 

Please note HSBC Secure ePayments is an external website and is not part of the Bournemouth Borough Council website.

 

Bournemouth Borough Council cannot accept responsibility for the information supplied on the HSBC Secure ePayments website or accept any liability for payments not reaching the account, if paid by this method.

 

How to Use HSBC Secure ePayments

To access HSBC Secure ePayments you can follow the link or copy the website address  https://www.bournemouth.gov.uk/secure/e_payments/default.asp| into your internet browser address bar.

 

You will initially be direct to Bournemouth Borough Council’s secure server for on-line payments.

 

• Complete your contact details.
• Select  ‘Add Item'
• Select  Council Tax or Business Rate from the drop down menu 
• Add the account reference number and amount you wish to pay 
• Select 'Add' if you need to make other payments, or select  “Delete Items” if you have made a  mistakes
• When finished, select on “Next”. Details of the amount being pad and payment method, will be displayed 
• Select “Pay” to proceed

 

You will now be directed to HSBC Secure ePayments

• Select on “Continue”. The payment value will be displayed
• Complete the relevant card details
• Select “Continue”. You will be show a confirmation page
• If the details are correct, select 'Proceed'
• Confirmation of your payment will be displayed, which can be printed for your records

 

You will now be directed back to our website

• A receipt for your payment will be displayed, which you can be printed for your records
• The process is now complete so you may close your browser or click on “New Payment” to create new details.

Fake emails and Phishing Scams

HSBC will never send you an email requesting you to verify your security details or link to internet banking.

 

If you receive an email claiming to be from HSBC that you are suspicious about, please forward it to phishing@hsbc.com|.
