Pay - Council Rent



You can make a payment, with a debit card via Santander BillPay|.


You will need to:

  • Select 'Bournemouth B.C.' from the drop down menu
  • Select 'Bournemouth B.C. (Rents)' from the second drop down menu
  • Have your Council Rent reference ready

Via Our 24 Hour Payment Line

You can make a payment using a debit or credit card (a £2:50 admin charge will be applied to credit card payments).


To make a payment call 01202 454748, select option 5 and have your Council Rent reference ready. 


Via Telephone/Internet Banking

Your bank will require the following to transfer funds:

  • Our sort code 40 13 07
  • Our account number 21006622
  • Your Council Rent reference number

Payments made via Telephone/Internet banking may take up to 5 working days to reach us.

By Direct Debit

To set up a Direct Debit download a direct debit form| and return it to us (the return address is listed at the top of the form).



At Your Local Bank

You will need:

  • The bank giro, which is included with your bill.

Your chosen bank may charge a fee, except local branches of HSBC and payment may take up to 5 working days to reach us.



At Your Local Post Office®

You will need:

  • A Post Office® transfer form (TRANSCASH)
  • Our account number 2178117
  • Your Council Rent reference

A fee is chargeable and payments may take up to 5 working days to reach us.

By Post or Visit Us

You will need:

  • The payment slip, which is included with your bill.
  • A cheque made payable to Bournemouth Borough Council, with your Council Tax reference written on the back.

Post or bring your payment to:

If you require a payment receipt, please advise us and include your whole bill with the payment.


Payments may take up to 5 working days to process, from the date of receipt.
