Southbourne Children's Centre

Covering Southbourne, Littledown, Iford and Tuckton

 

Welcome to the Southbourne Children's Centre, a centre for children and families in the Southbourne, Littledown, Iford and Tuckton areas.

We have a range of activities within the centre and work with groups and services within the community to ensure we meet the needs of local families and children.

We are a new centre and continually looking to develop our services. We hold regular parent forums which enable parents to have a say in our current and future activities. If you are a parent of a child under the age of five and would like to participate in a forum, or have any ideas about what you would like to see happening in the centre, please contact us.

Regular sessions and groups include:

 

• Under One's Group
• Fun With Under 5's (learning group through play for toddlers)
• Childminder Group
• Well Baby Health Clinic
• Southbourne Bosom Buddies Breastfeeding Group

• Young Parents Drop-In (for parents under 21)

•  Language Support Group (supported by the Every Child A Talker program)

• Plus much more.

We also run family support drop-ins through our community partners at Cranleigh Community Church.

Experienced staff are on hand to deal with any queries. We can provide information, help and advice for parents and carers with regards to a range of subjects, including: family learning, childcare, housing issues and special needs support services.

Please feel free to just drop-in to the centre or simply contact us directly to talk about one of our sessions. Alternatively a local professional such as your Health Visitor can advise or refer you.
