Early Years Service

We strive to secure and promote the highest standards for childcare, pre-school, early education and parental support.

 

We are responsible for delivering the Local Authority's duty within the Childcare Act, including new children's centre development.

We are committed to ensuring that a high-quality range of child support services is available throughout Bournemouth.

We work in partnership across all sectors to shape the future provision of childcare and delivery of early childhood services, raising the quality of provision and improving outcomes for children.

We provide the Bournemouth Children's Information Service which supports parents and carers with free impartial information and guidance on childcare, early education and family support. The service also has a dedicated childcare recruitment helpline for those who wish to work in childcare.
