Thursday 25 July 2013 - Meyrick Park, Bournemouth

10am - 4pm

Stavros Flatley to headline Bournemouth’s Family Festival

The hugely popular free family event, which takes place on Thursday 25 July from 10am to 4pm at Meyrick Park, is back for a fourth year. Showcasing what Bournemouth has to offer, it gives children, young people and adults the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun and interactive  activities.

Headlining this year’s fun packed festival, Britain’s Got Talent finalists, Stavros Flatley, will be entertaining children and adults alike with their unique high energy dance routines. Dame Kitty, our resident performer will also be returning to the stage to wow crowds with her special family musical and Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey the Dragon will be performing their hilarious show. Plus there is plenty more lined-up to keep people of all ages entertained.

Councillor Nicola Greene, Cabinet member for Education and Children’s Services said:

“We are extremely pleased to announce that the popular family event will be returning for another year. It is always very well attended and a fantastic day out for all, with a range of entertainment planned including live music, shows, interactive workshops and play activities. We encourage residents to put the date in their diaries so they can come and join in the fun in July.”

Organised by Bournemouth Borough Council , the event also offers a chance for parents and carers to learn about the range of services and help available to them and their families in the local area.

The Bournemouth Family Festival is being held in support of the national Playday campaign which puts children at the heart of our communities and celebrates children's right to play.
