1.0         DELEGATION TO THE HEAD OF STRATEGIC SERVICES

1.1       Authority to recommend to the Directors Management Team the methods by which consultation on Cabinet key decisions involving key stakeholders is undertaken so as to ensure that objectives are met and that the consultation is effective, fit for purpose and conducted in a proper manner.

1.2       Authority to use the professional judgement of the Communications and Consultation Team in deciding how to respond to press and media enquiries, including selection of appropriate spokespersons.

1.3       To exercise managerial and editorial control over corporate public relations material, including the Bournemouth Journal, corporate leaflets and the Council’s website and Intranet.

1.4       Authority to advise on the use of the Council’s agreed branding for promotional and other material.

2.0       WITHDRAWAL OF AUTHORITY

2.1     The authority to exercise any of the above delegations, may be withdrawn at any time by the Head of Business Unit.
