Assets

125 Inventories

  • Each Service must maintain inventories for all assets including furniture, fittings and equipment.  These must record an adequate description and estimated value of assets.
  • All attractive/portable items must be security marked as belonging to the Council and wherever possible kept securely.
  • Inventories must be checked at least annually to verify the details.
  • Any variations must be noted, and if over £5,000 must be reported to the Section 151 Officer, and the Business Unit Head, who will report to the Cabinet.
  • For items below £5,000 see the regulations on write-offs.
