TENDER PROCEDURES

14. RECEIPT AND CUSTODY OF TENDERS

14.1. All tenders submitted, in respect of which a date and time has been specified for submission will, on receipt, be:-

14.1.1. date-stamped, time-stamped, numbered and initialled by the Director of Central Services, or the Director, as appropriate.

14.1.2. held securely and remain unopened.

14.1.3. entered in a record of tenders received.

14.2. Where tenders are submitted electronically, access to the nominated secure e-mail account will be barred by the Head of IT Services until the deadline for submission of tenders has passed. After this date and time, tenders will be released to the Officers responsible for opening them, in accordance with Contract Procedure 15.

14.3. Any tender received after the date and time specified for submission will not be considered, but will be :-

14.3.1. recorded as being received late.

14.3.2. opened and returned to the contractor by the Director of Central Services, or the Director, as appropriate.

14.4. No details of late tenders will be disclosed until after the contract has been successfully awarded.

14.5. Tenders will be retained by the Director of Central Services or the Director, as appropriate, for a period of six years from the date specified for submission.
