The Council's Corporate Plan 2008/09 sets out the people's priorities for the Town.  These are:

1. Improving our Environment
2. Tackling Crime
3. Better Planning
4. Community Action
5. Efficient Council

The Plan details how these priorities determine the Council's activities and its allocation of resources.  In turn, each Business Unit has reflected these priorities in their Service Plans for 2008/09, translating them into actions and outcomes.

The plan also sets out what has been achieved in 2007/08.  We are strongly committed to listening to views about Council services and regularly consult with the community, resident groups and customers to inform us about what is important to the communities we serve.  (See page 15).
