Topic Papers for the Facility Development Section together with their policy and action statements went out to public consultation during the summer of 2001. The Leisure Development Topics areas were developed from the working papers and workshops used in preparing the Cultural Strategy. Consultation on the Leisure Development issues was also carried out in Summer 2001.

1.5.2

The Leisure Strategy, with the exception of the original Paper 4 'Outdoor Play Provision in Bournemouth' was adopted by the Council in February 2002. A revised 'Paper 4' on Children's Playgrounds was adopted by the Council in February 2003 and is incorporated in this, the final Leisure Strategy document, which was adopted by the Council's Cabinet on 17 December 2003.
