General

In Bournemouth, Mayors are elected for one year in Office, and then become the Deputy Mayor for the following year.

Councillors can no longer be elected to the Office of Mayor more than once.

Only past Mayors of Bournemouth, in reverse order of precedence, can represent the Mayor at Civic events and Mayoral Engagements, and can only do so if nominated by the Mayor in Office.
