The Disability Equality Scheme and its accompanying Action Plan is our programme of improvement for all of our staff and customers to ensure fairness of opportunity.

Our scheme is a major step to ensure that disabled people have the same life chances as non-disabled people.The scheme addresses this in a practical and measurable way.

A huge number of disabled people and organisations have been involved in helping the Council to produce the Scheme and Action Plan.We thank them for their valuable contribution in helping us to be a more inclusive Council.
