Parks Operations

Responsible for the management and maintenance of over 800 hectares of award winning parks, open spaces and countryside sites across the Borough.  These include 30 major sites including 6 Green Flag winning parks - the highest number of awards for any town in the south of England.  The team is also responsible for the greenkeeping of Queen's Park Golf Course as well as bowling greens throughout the town.  The department is also responsible for the operation of Kings Park plant nursery, which has won a number of national awards for floral and bedding displays, and a full Floral Decoration and Floristry service are available.  Cleansing operations on the beach itself and within parks is also managed by the team.

The management team is based at East Cemetery Lodge, 80 Gloucester Road, adjacent to Kings Park.
