The Council's Corporate Plan 2013/14| sets out what we want to achieve during 2013/14. The Council's Corporate Plan for 2012/13| lists the activities we said we would carry out during 2012/13. From 01 April 2008 until 01 April 2011, all councils had been required to report against the Government’s set of National Performance Indicators (NIs). When the coalition Government came into power in May 2010, they announced that the NIs would be abolished as part of wider changes to the national performance framework for local government.

On 1 December 2010, Bournemouth Borough Council entered into a ten year contract with Mouchel. The Partnership is made up of three key aspects: Core Service Delivery (Revenue and Benefits, ICT, Facilities Management, Finance and, HR and Payroll); Transformation (supporting the Council's Transformation, Efficiency and Change Programme, aimed at saving 40% of the Council's budget by year ten and Value added commitments (Carbon Management Centre of Excellence (CMCoE), job creation and shared services). The performance of the Bournemouth Borough Council/Mouchel Incremental Partnership is set out in the Annual Service Review 2012/13.|
The partnership between Bournemouth Borough Council and Morgan Sindall Investments (known as a Local Asset Backed Vehicle) will generate more than £350 million worth of development in the Town Centre. The 2012/13 Annual Review of the partnership with Morgan Sindall is currently being prepared and will be available in 2014.
BHLive are a leisure and cultural trust which provides a unique mix of leisure and cultural activities in Bournemouth at award winning venues and centres. More information about the work of the trust can be found on their website www.bhlive.co.uk|
Until 2012, Bournemouth 2026 was the Local Strategic Partnership for Bournemouth and successfully developed partnership working across the Town, ensuring the delivery of ambitous targets under the Local Area Agreement Framework. Since the requirement for Local Strategic Partnerships has diminished, Bournemouth 2026 transformed into a Community Development Trust and Community Land Trust. Bournemouth 2026 Trust uses an intelligence approach to identifying the challenges facing Bournemouth. This intelligence, gathered by research and engagement with the community and members brings together partnerships to find solutions to difficult social, economic and environmental problems. As a public organisation, the Council is subject to a number of assessments and inspections. These range from those undertaken by external organisations, to internal audit, from looking at one service, to the whole Council, and they all vary in frequency.
Each year, the Council’s external auditors are required to conclude whether the Council has put in place proper corporate arrangements for securing economy, efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources. This is known as the value for money conclusion and is produced as part of the Council’s The Audit Findings for Bournemouth Borough Council 2013|. An Annual Audit Letter| is also produced, which summarises the 2012/13 audit.
