The Reorganisation Order and map can also be viewed below:
Bournemouth Borough Council has undertaken a Community Governance Review in response to a petition from the electorate within the Holdenhurst Village area asking for the creation of a Parish Council.
The Community Governance Review started on 1 December 2011 with the publication of the terms of reference for the review. Comments and proposals were invited by 31 January 2012. The Council considered the comments and proposals submitted and on 1 April 2012 published its draft proposals.
A further period of consultation followed which closed on 31 May 2012. The Council has considered the comments received and the final proposals document was published during July 2012.
The intention is that the new arrangements set out in the final proposals document
will become effective from 1 December 2012. The final proposals were approved by the full Council on 18 September 2012. A Re-Organisation Order will now be made to bring the final proposals into effect.
A copy of the final proposals document which contains more information can be obtained from Mr. Kevin Neale, Democratic Services Manager, Bournemouth Borough Council, Town Hall, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth BH2 6DY
