Expressions of interest are sought from experienced, high quality childcare providers to tender for the operation and management of the early years and childcare facility located within Townsend Children’s Centre.

The provision is currently being temporarily managed by Bournemouth Borough Council offering funded early education sessions for eligible 3 and 4 year olds, but it is fully resourced to offer full day care to children aged from 0-5. The most recent full day care registration stipulated no more than 46 children, of these, no more than 28 may be under 3 years old.

There is no expectation that the successful applicant will offer day care for 0-5s from the outset, however a willingness to be responsive to the needs of families, particularly those living locally to the Centre, is essential.  The provision is part of Bournemouth’s pilot plan to offer funded places for 2 year olds from September 2009.
