Scheme for Financing Schools

Bournemouth Borough Council's Scheme for Financing Schools contains requirements relating to financial management and associated issues, which are binding on both the Authority and on the schools.  The provisions of the scheme arise from Section 48 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.

The Schools' Financial Regulations support the Bournemouth Borough Council's Financial Framework and provide additional guidance and requirements specifically for schools.

Schools' Funding Formula

The Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998 Section 4 provides for Local Authorities to establish a mechanism for the allocation of school resources as part of the Individual Schools Budget.
