Sailing, Kayaking and Canoeing in Bournemouth (RYA, BCU)
Community Courses
During the evenings, weekends and holidays there are opportunities for everyone in the community to enjoy the programme of sailing, canoeing, multi-activity and adventure courses offered. You will need to be over 8 to go on the water, but if you are younger, have a look at our boredom buster courses.
Paddlesports Courses
We offer beginner to advanced courses for both adults and young people in Christchurch harbour and the rivers Stour and Avon. British Canoe Union star awards and instructor qualifications can be taken as well as pool skills sessions in the winter.
Sailing Courses
We offer beginner to advanced courses for both adults and young people in the sheltered waters of Christchurch harbour. Royal Yachting Association awards, theory, first aid and instructor qualifications can also be taken.
Powerboating
RYA Level 2 National Powerboat Certificate, safety boat and navigation courses in the harbour and out to sea.
Mixed Activity and Environmental Courses
Multi activity, adventure, boredom buster, art and environmental courses are offered for all age ranges. Learn about stone age survival, make your own kites, find out about the bugs and birds of the head, learn how to use a digital camera, become a better artist or join a guided walk. There should be something for everyone.
Kayak Pool Sessions Winter 2008/2009
Evening courses are available during November and December for young people and adults to develop kayaking skills in the comfort of an indoor swimming pool.

The 2008 programme is now available to download here. Unfortunately we are unable to take online bookings however if you wish to make a booking please complete an application form for each participant. Full booking details are in the programme.
