Being A Governor

Welcome to Bournemouth Governor Services

School governors are the largest volunteer force in the country; they play a vital part in school life in providing strategic support to the school and providing monitoring responsibilities.

Bournemouth Governor Services team provides:

  • support to schools in recruiting governors as well as appointing Local Authority governors
  • a range of training and support for governors
  • information and support for clerks to governing bodies,

If you would like to become a school Governor, please complete the Governor Application Form (134kb) PDF, then print it off, sign and return to the address shown on the form.
