Part IV of the Environment Act, 1995 requires all local authorities from ‘time to time’ to review the quality of air within their respective areas. This procedure is aimed at assessing current and future air quality (AQ) in local authority areas with respect to AQ objectives that have been set by government.
The Council has produced reports as part of its air quality function since 2000.
