Our objective is to provide an efficient, responsive and customer centred service| that meets the needs and aspirations of the customer.
With over 1000 units of accommodation for our customers, we provide a range of support that will sustain independent living. This support is tailored to the needs the individual customer and is reviewed annually or following a critical event, such as illness or a period of hospitalisation.
We have ‘front line’ housing officers who are based in offices on our Category 2 schemes, where tenants receive a medium level of support. The majority of housing officers are professionally trained and have achieved a national certificate in supported housing. We continue to invest in our staff through training, to ensure that our customers receive a high quality support service and best practice.
All our senior living accommodation is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by our central control team. This service and our telecare services are being audited later this year to achieve national accreditation. This will provide us with a ‘quality mark’ which we will use to expand our services.
Our central control, telecare and housing management services are provided from a purpose built facility which opened in 2007 and is located on our Extra Care scheme at Vale Road. This scheme has an ‘on site’ care team, enabling our most vulnerable customers to live independently in their own homes.
On the scheme we also have a gym, counselling rooms, an intermediate care flat for people being discharged early from hospital, laundry rooms, and a commercial kitchen providing hot meals daily.
The Handyperson service| allows residents to book a handyman to complete certain tasks for them. For more information about the service, please have a look at the leaflet. We also have available the results from the survey| that was conducted relating to the Handyman service.
