You should pay your rent fortnightly or monthly in advance. We have several different ways for you to pay.

If you hold a debit card from any UK bank then you can pay your rent via the internet| free of charge. Credit cards are not accepted.
If you use internet or tele-banking| then you can also pay your rent through your own bank account.
To pay by the internet you will need your 10 digit payment reference number. This can be found on any letter you have received from us about your rent or you can contact us|.
The most cost-effective way to pay your rent is to Pay by Direct debit|. If you do not have a bank account then please speak to your Housing Officer about setting up a basic bank account.
This is similar to a direct debit but you will have to notify your bank of any changes in the rent you need to pay.
You can pay your rent free of charge at any post office using a rent payment swipe card.
You can ask us for a payment book that can be used at any bank. Local HSBC banks do not make a charge for this but other banks may. The payment book can also be used at a post office.
You can also pay by cash at the Post Office| using a Transcash transfer form using a Transcash transfer form.
We can take your payment over the phone via an automated service, available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week using a debit or credit card. There is no charge for using a debit card but there is a £2.50 charge for credit card payments. A payment receipt reference will be given upon successfully completing a transaction.
REMEMBER THAT IF YOU USE A CREDIT CARD TO PAY YOUR RENT AND DO NOT PAY YOUR CREDIT CARD BILL YOU WILL BE CHARGED INTEREST
