Supplementary Cleaning Service

If you live in a flat block with communal (shared) areas we provide a supplementary cleaning service.  A rota giving the date of the next clean will be displayed in the communal entrance of your block.

  

General Needs or Senior Living Category 1

Every month we will visit to:

tickbox  Sweep all floors

tickbox  Mop all floors

tickbox  Dust lights, handrails and skirting boards

tickbox  Clean internal glass

tickbox  Sweep the bin stores

tickbox  Spot clean walls

tickbox  Report any communal repairs to the Repairs Centre. 

tickbox  Report any bulky waste or tipped rubbish

 

Independent Senior Living - Category 2

Every two weeks we will visit to;

tickbox  Sweep all floors

tickbox  Mop all floors

tickbox  Dust lights, handrails and skirting boards

tickbox  Clean internal glass

tickbox  Sweep the bin stores

tickbox  Spot clean walls

tickbox  Report any communal repairs to the Repairs Centre. 

tickbox  Report any bulky waste, tipped rubbish

tickbox  Clean communal kitchens, living spaces, bathrooms and laundry rooms

 

Why keep communal areas tidy and clean?

1. So that you can safely exit if there is a fire.
2. So that your block is a nice place to live.
3. Don’t risk the cost and inconvenience -  store your items properly.  If you leave a bike, pushchair or other personal item in a communal corridor we will have to remove it and you will be charged a £25 storage and administration fee to reclaim it. 
4. The cost of collecting and disposing dumped rubbish and bulky waste such as old televisions or mattresses is added to your rent.  The less messy your block is the cheaper it will be for you to live there. 

 

If you’ve got an item you no longer want, why not…

tickbox  Donate it to a charity such as Dorset Reclaim| who will collect it from you who

        will collect it from you.

tickbox  Advertise it on Freecycle| as an item that’s free to collect.

tickbox  Take it to your local recycling centre where you can dispose of them free of

        charge.  Proof of residence in the area such as your Council Tax, Electric or

        Gas bill may be required.
