The Music Zone is a major music collection serving Bournemouth and beyond. Situated on
the second floor of Bournemouth Library it boasts a wide range of resources in a variety of genres including jazz, folk, classical, rock & pop. Whether you want to play keyboard, guitar tab, flute, drums or even ukulele, we have music, books and other resources to support your needs. We stock large collections of CDs|, DVDs|, printed music| and books about music, and subscribe to the online Naxos Music Library| and other important electronic resources|.
An electronic piano| with computer attached is also available, providing a practice facility and access to Sibelius| notation software. The Music Zone provides for the needs of anyone who:
Music CDs covering more popular genres are available at Boscombe|, Charminster|, Kinson|, Castlepoint|, Southbourne|, Westbourne |and Winton |libraries. Most libraries also hold a small collection of music scores, books about music, and general information about musical events and activities. Furthermore, it is possible for music resources to be sent from the Music Zone to any Bournemouth library if preferred.
