Membership is free, and open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Bournemouth. To join, simply ask for a library card, available at your local library|. Please note that proof of identity and permanent address (a driving licence, bank statement or other official documentation is acceptable) will be needed to borrow DVDs, CDs and audiobooks.
Children| are always welcome in our libraries, and may join at any age. If you are 15 or under, we will need your parent or guardian to sign your library card.
You will be given the library card and PIN, which you will need whenever you wish to use the computers or borrow items. Your library card is not transferable. All items issued on your card are your responsibility.
If you do not provide proof of address, you may borrow up to 6 books (in addition to free computer access). With proof of address, you can borrow up to 12 books and 12 chargeable audiovisual items.
