Guided Nature Walks

People enjoying a guided walk at Millhams Mead

About the walks and events

The Parks Team runs a programme of guided walks and events throughout the year. Some of these are run in partnership with other groups including the RSPB, Dorset Fungus Group and Wessex Astronomical Society. The walks cover a whole range of subjects, from flowers to trees, and birdwatching to stargazing, and usually last between 1.5 to 2 hours. The varied events programme includes bug box building, storytelling, reindeer making and lots more.

Monday Morning Meanders Programme|

These take place on most Mondays throughout the year and visit a different Local Nature Reserve or open space. The programme rotates around at least 15 different sites in Bournemouth and surrounding environs. Please note - these walks are no longer Council-led.

Guided Walks and Events Programme|

These take place at various sites at weekends and on occasional evenings, and usually have a specific theme, such as bird song, trees or stargazing.
