Guided Nature Walks

About the walks

The Parks Team runs a programme of guided walks throughout the year. Some of our walks are also lead by, or with, the RSPB. These popular walks cover a whole range of subjects, from flowers to trees, and birdwatching to stargazing. The walks usually last between 1.5 to 2 hours and are all lead at a gentle pace. So why not find out when the next walk is near you, come along and join us, and find out more about the town's green spaces?

Monday Morning Meanders|

These take place on most Mondays throughout the year and are very well attended by a  friendly bunch of 'meanderers', who like to start their week with a walk, a chat and a good laugh! Each week, we visit a different Local Nature Reserve or open space, and the programme rotates around 15 different sites.

Guided walks| 

These take place at various sites at weekends and on occasional evenings, and usually have a specific theme, such as bird song, trees or stargazing.

This leaflet is now produced twice per year, from May to October and November to April, and lists all the walks and events.
