Plans have been submitted to carry out the second-phase of improvements to Boscombe Crescent.
As part of the Boscombe Regeneration Partnership’s Backing Boscombe campaign, a number of further improvements have been proposed to encourage more residents and visitors to use the park as a safe and attractive public open space.
The second-phase of work follows the success of the initial phase of improvements completed earlier in the year.
The plans submitted include the following:
David Ifould, Landscape Manager for Bournemouth Borough Council, said: “The Crescent is a really important space in Boscombe; both as a ‘first impression’ to the area and as an opportunity to show how investment and care can start to bring about a positive change. The Council, as part of the ‘Backing Boscombe’ project, has taken a lot of time to work with local residents through a variety of consultations to create somewhere better to visit and we’re greatly looking forward to seeing the scheme complete.”
The works follow a comprehensive consultation with the local community whose feedback has been crucial in helping to inform decisions made about the improvements.
Subject to planning permission the second phase of works would start in Spring 2013.
