This tree is just one of many fascinating trees to be found in the Central and Upper Gardens throughout the year. This pine gets its name from the lovely, long, drooping needles. 16 of the species to be found in the Central and Upper gardens are featured in the Tree Trail leaflet|. This self-guided route takes you from the Cenotaph up to the top end of the gardens and back, pointing out some of the trees as you go. A number of trees are also labelled, so look out for those.
