Parks and Gardens

Azaleas

The Borough of Bournemouth has a tremendous variety of parks and gardens, both formal and informal. These sites include colourful, formal flower beds, trees from around the world, bowling greens and other facilities, and much more.

Ten of the parks and gardens that Bournemouth Borough Council maintains are Green Flag sites|. One of these, Boscombe Chine Gardens, is also a Local Nature Reserve|. There are three other LNRs which are Green Flag sites - Kinson Common, Hengistbury Head and Stour Valley - giving Bournemouth a total of thirteen Green Flag sites as of July 2012.

If you need to report a problem about a tree or trees, you can use theTree Works Request Form|. However, if the issue is more urgent, you can e-mail| the Parks team or phone 01202 451629.

A new Tree Trail is now available for the Central and Upper Bournemouth Gardens, featuring some of the superb trees from around the world. If you would like a printed copy of the leaflet, please e-mail richard.hesketh@bournemouth.gov.uk|
