Bournemouth Council

Computers in Libraries

Use our computers for free

If you’re a library member, you can use our computers for free. If you haven't got a library card just pop in to any of the Bournemouth libraries and ask about joining, you don't need ID if you just want to use the computers. We also have free WiFi in all of our libraries.

You can also use our 24/7 and CyberLibrary services from our public PCs and they all have the following programmes:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Office Professional (including Publisher)

We have scanners in all libraries but you may need to book in advance.

You can use a computer for up to ninety minutes a day. We also have computers just for children and teenagers.

All of our libraries have accessible technology and Supernova for the sight impaired.

If you’re not confident using computers, we can help you with the basics. We also run self-guided online computer courses.
