It’s happening… the Town Centre Vision is gathering momentum
Pavilion Dance, the new world-class dance centre constructed through the Vision, was opened by Prince Edward in October 2010, securing Bournemouth’s place on the map as a destination for dance.
Improvements to public spaces have taken place at the Triangle, Holdenhurst Road and St Peter’s Road and we are currently producing final drawings for improvements to Westover Road.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Bournemouth Council and Morgan Sindall Investments Ltd have formed a public-private partnership that will drive the construction of new family attractions, shops, homes, landmark buildings and improvements to public spaces on numerous town centre sites.
An ‘Area Action Plan’ has been prepared, which will influence town centre planning policy, determining the type and level of development permitted within the town centre.
