RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER STATUTORY ACCESS RIGHTS

The right of access to information under other statutory access regimes that already exist are not overridden by the FOIA or this access policy.  The FOIA and this policy equally do not override any existing statutory prohibitions on the disclosure of information. Officers of the Council who are involved in providing information under other statutory access regimes should continue to apply the processes that have been adopted to respond to such requests.

The position will be subject to review and amendment in line with any further legislative changes effecting access to information.
