The Press Office is part of the service run by the Corporate Communications & Consultation Team.

We will aim to . . .

• deal with media enquiries effectively and efficiently
• be open, honest and accessible at all times
• work with the media to involve local people in the decision-making process
• train our Members and staff so they are able to understand the needs of the media
• make key Members and senior staff available for comment within media deadlines
• develop and maintain existing lines of communication between the Council and the media
• work with the media to tell local people about our priorities and our progress towards achieving them
• remain sensitive to issues of client confidentiality, data protection and sub-judice

The Press Office is open for enquiries from members of the press and media between 8.30am and 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, and between 8.30am and 4.45pm on Fridays.
