2014 sees Bournemouth welcome the inaugural Wheels Festival to town from Saturday 24 May to Monday 26 May. Billed as the UK's biggest free family Wheels themed festival, it's set to combine motion, power and elegance into three days of high energy action across Britain's premier seaside town and seafront.

The countdown for food waste collection in Bournemouth has begun and Bournemouth Borough Council is keen that those living in flats are not left behind. Local residents who live in blocks of flats with communal bin either private, council or housing association are being encouraged to register their interest in receiving a brown food waste collection bin, in time for when the Council launch the scheme early next year.

Your favourite restaurant might look amazing and be getting great reviews, but how good is its hygiene? You can't judge hygiene by appearance alone which is why the Food Standards Agency, in partnership with local authorities, has introduced the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
