Our camera car patrols Bournemouth and takes pictures of cars that are parked illegally
If your car is photographed, you could receive a Penalty Charge Notice in the post without a warning. We use the camera car to make sure no one parks where they're not meant to, for example at:
- Bus stops
- Pedestrian crossings
- School entranceway zigzags
A Civil Enforcement Officer Supervisor will review the picture to decide if you have disobeyed the restrictions.
What happens when a car is parked illegally
We’ll contact the DVLA for the owners details. Then we’ll send them a Penalty Charge Notice. This includes the amount of the ticket and if a discount can be applied.
If you feel you’ve been charged unfairly, please read the Penalty Charge Notice for your appeal options.
