In car parks

Pay and display tickets

  • Buy a pay and display ticket. If you don’t have change, you can use Phone and Pay.
  • Make sure your ticket can be seen through your windscreen.
  • Get back to your vehicle in plenty of time.

Disabled parking

  • Make sure your disabled badge is valid and can be seen.
  • Make sure your vehicle is positioned within the bay’s marks.
  • If your vehicle breaks down, call the Operations Manager on 01202 451268.
  • If you have a disabled badge, you can use it here. Make sure your badge is valid and  can be seen.

Positioning your vehicle

  • Make sure you have all of your vehicle's wheels positioned within the bay.

Disabled parking bays

  • Make sure your badge is valid and can be seen. You’ll need to set your time clock to the time you got there.
  • Signs should show how long you can park there for. Outside of these times, you can park there for as long as you like.

Limited waiting areas

You can’t park in these for longer than the restricted time. For instance ‘8a.m. - 6p.m. 60 minutes. No Return within 60 minutes’ means you can only stay for 60 minutes. After this time, you’ll have to move to another car park for 60 minutes before you can park here again.

  • Your vehicle must be parked correctly within the bay.
  • If you have a disabled badge, you can park here whenever you like.

 Controlled parking zones

  • Signs can be found at the exit and entrance of the zone.
  • The parking times apply to residents and visitors.
  • If you have a disabled badge, you can use it here.

 Bus stops

▪ Only bus stops can use these.

Taxi's can drop off and pick up passengers here. However, the camera car will take a picture of this and you'll need to give us proof that you were working at this time. This can be:

  • A fare slip
  • A work schedule
  • If you have a license plate on the back of your vehicle, you can use these.
  • You can’t use a disabled badge here.
