Volunteering Opportunities In Our Parks And Countryside
There are lots of ways you can get involved with helping out in our parks and countryside sites
Conservation volunteers – If you love being in the great outdoors then you can help out with habitat management at Hengistbury Head and our sites in north Bournemouth.
‘Friends of’ and supporters groups – If you’re passionate about a particular area there might be a group to help care for it. These groups are independent but work with us to help look after the sites.
Grazing stock checkers – If you like conservation and animals then why not help to care for our grazing animals? We have cattle and goats that help us to care for our conservation sites.
Hengistbury Head Visitors Centre – The centre is a brilliant resource for lovers of this nature reserve. Help run the shop, look after the wildlife garden, assist visitors and help with guided walks and events.
Tree Wardens – If you are interested in trees and care about our woodland then you might enjoy being a Tree Warden. There are lots of ways you can help protect and improve our wonderful woodlands.
Kings Park Nursery – If you are interested in horticulture and/or nursery retail then you might enjoy joining the team at Kings Park Nursery. Help run the summer retail sales, or with many of the aspects involved with running a nursery.
