Everyone copes with bereavement differently, but if you need help or want to find out how to help your children cope, you can talk to your family doctor or contact one of the following organisations.
  • Age UK - Age Concern Bournemouth promotes and develops services to enable older people to maintain both physical and mental wellbeing.  Tel: (01202) 530530
  • Bournemouth Helping Services Council has a list of local voluntary organisations.  Tel: 01202 466130
  • Cruse Bereavement Care - runs a helpline 0870 167 1677 and also has a helpline for young people aged 12-18 on 0800 808 1677
  • Samaritans - you can call The Samaritans 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 08437 90 90 90
  • SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) is a self-help organisation for parents who have experienced a stillbirth or the death of a new baby, and runs support groups nationwide.  Helpline tel: 020 7436 5881
