Population Estimates

 

 

Mid-Year Estimates (MYE) for the Borough are produced annually by the Office for National Statistics; the latest in September 2012.  The 2011 Population Estimate is based on the rolled forward Census Estimate.  To reflect the 2011 Census Estimates the Mid-2002 to Mid-2010 Estimates have been revised by ONS in April 2013.

Estimates from 2001 to 2011 are available below for both Bournemouth and the surrounding area.

Please note revised population estimates for 2002-2010 have been released by ONS (30/04/13).  These supersede previous estimates.  The changes are as a result of 2011 Census results.    

It is ONS policy to publish estimates rounded to at least the nearest hundred persons. Therefore, some columns and rows will not sum due to rounding.
