Through Urban Renewal and Design positive change and regeneration in the Borough is encouraged. Information is available on large corporate projects such as the Town Centre Area Action Plan| and guidance for key areas of change such as Exeter Road| and the Lansdowne|. There is advice relating to general design guidance| for use by anyone involved in the development of land.
The Bournemouth landscape in its open spaces, avenues, woods and public and private gardens is characterised by an abundance and variety of trees which together form an urban woodland. Bournemouth has also been called a ‘Garden City’ because of the large number of trees that it contains.
