Planning Guidance


Planning Guidance for Bournemouth is in the form of Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD), Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) and Planning Guidance Notes (PGN).
 
SPDs and SPGs are intended to provide additional information on development plan policies and proposals; alternatively they can take the form of design briefs, or area development briefs.
 
PGNs provide a best practice framework for development in Bournemouth.

SPDs SPGs and PGNs are material planning considerations and will be given considerable weight as they are consistent with the development plan and have been prepared in consultation with the general public, businesses and other interested parties.
