wave – arts education agency – provides a source for inspiration and creativity between the arts and education communities in Bournemouth & Poole.
Working to promote and assist in the development of plans and projects that provide young people with increased and regular access to high quality arts experiences, wave provides training, networks, information and advice in the delivery of the arts in informal and formal settings. In partnership with teachers, governors, artists, practitioners, local authority staff, and arts and cultural staff, our aim is to make a distinctive contribution to the enjoyment, confidence, skills and emotional well being of children and young people.
Exisiting as a partnership agency, wave is supported by the Arts Council England South West, Bournemouth Borough Council, Borough of Poole, and Bournemouth and Poole Arts Development Units. wave is also part of the arts education partnership, made up of nine Arts Agencies across the South West Region, which work closely to share good practice and build a regional case for arts education.
wave- arts education agency is also facilitating the major Cultural Hub programme in Bournemouth and Poole, in connection with the Arts Council of England, the Museums, Libraries & Archives Council and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
