The team works to accomplish the following major goals:

To increase the capacity of local communities so that people are empowered to participate in local decision making

To improve the quality of life for people in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods

To reduce crime and the fear of crime within the borough

To increase the amount of cleaner and greener spaces in the borough.

Safer and Stronger Communities have a commitment to work in Partnership with Bournemouth Council for Voluntary Services (Bournemouth CVS). A document called the Bournemouth Compact details how this work is carried out.
