Planning Briefs are produced where the council wishes to provide additional advice regarding the development of sites. These may be in either the Council'c ownership or in the ownership of others.
All briefs undergo public consultation and the results of this are fully considered before the brief is finally adopted as formal Council policy.
Once adopted, briefs become a material consideration in the determination of any future planning application relating to all or part of the site.
