Bournemouth Natural Science Society
Its impressive headquarters at the Lansdowne has a library, museum and botanical garden. Runs events (weekly lectures, study groups, field meetings etc) and activities for members and visitors.
Bournemouth and Poole Greenpeace
Meets in the Central Hotel pub in Parkstone at 7.30/8.00pm on the first Monday of the month (unless a Bank Holiday). The Greenpeace UK and Greenpeace International websites have lots of news and campaign information.
Bournemouth University School of Conservation Sciences
Has an Environmental and Geographical Sciences Group which runs courses (from short courses to post-grad research), a Centre for Conservation Ecology, and events like lectures and seminars.
Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water
Supplies Bournemouth's water. Website has 'Waterwise', environment and water quality sections.
Dorset Conservation

Dorset Environmental Records Centre
Independent organisation which collates information on all of Dorset's wildlife. Holds records for fauna, flora, habitats, projects, marine data and news.
Dorset For You - Coast and Countryside
Dorset County Council's website has information on their places, events, people and publications (includes Christchurch). They also have an Environment section which includes their Environmental Data Book.
Dorset Reclaim
Charitable organisation which recycles furniture, based in Bournemouth. Free collection of unwanted domestic items.
East Dorset Friends of the Earth
Meets at Bournemouth's East Cliff UR Church (opposite the railway station) at 7.45pm on the first Thursday of the month. The main FoE site has an extensive list of environmental Links.
Wessex Water
Deals with Bournemouth's sewerage. Website has environment, 'water and sewerage' ('Wise Up' and online water estimator) and 'community, education and recreation' sections. Also has KidsZone section.
