This years's national Summer Reading Challenge in Bournemouth Libraries and Boredom Busters playschemes for children and young people is Team Read. It is the tenth reading game organised by The Reading Agency. The theme is sport to tie in with the Olympics. We aim to get children reading in the summer holidays and by playing the game, having fun whilst collecting rewards and incentives along the way. On completion of the challenge they will receive a certificate and, at special local parties, a medal. To get these, children should choose and read books that appeal to them and exercise their minds in the summer. We have a range of free exciting events in all our libraries on the theme and linking in with the game.
The Summer Reading Game runs until September 6th
