All Bournemouth Libraries have computing facilities for people with disabilities.This type of technology is called Adaptive Technology. Our Adaptive Technology includes:
- Large keyboards with easy-to-see letters
- Large rollerball mice
- ZoomText - this is a piece of software that magnifies the screen and allows you to customise the screen to suit your requirements
- JAWS - this is text to speech software which reads the text on the screen through headphones to you
- Widgit - this is software for writing with symbols, which aids reading and writing
