All the 2001 Census results have now been published.  Detailed statistics are now available from national level down to output area (the smallest geography of around 125 households) and includes information on population, people, places and families, ethnicity and religion, health, work and housing.  Statistics have also been published on Commuting patterns and Migration. 

Key results for Bournemouth are published in a Bournemouth Profile.  Census factsheets have also been published for ward areas and for various themes.

The population of Bournemouth on Census night (29th April 2001) was 163,444, an increase of 12,139 since the 1991 Census.
