The Boscombe Centre is a day centre for adults who:
- are disabled and/or
- have sight or hearing loss and
- have been assessed as needing day centre support
We offer support for clients and a break for carers. The building is designed and equipped to meet the needs of disabled people and is located in Owls Road at Boscombe. We help with independent living to enable you to lead as full a life as possible and to develop your potential. You can meet other people and take part in a variety of social and leisure activities. We may also be able to help with personal care. Our facilities include a computer area, hobbies area, art room, lounge, multi sensory room and kitchen. We are open on Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 4:00pm. We provide a cooked lunch with a vegetarian option and cater for special dietary needs, We can help if you need assistance with eating. There is also a sweet trolley available for snacks. We promote rights and choices for individuals as well as equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices.
Boscombe Centre staff
We have trained and experienced staff who will enable you to make full use of the resources and facilities both here and in the community.
You will have a keyworker with special responsibility to support you. We also have volunteer and student workers at the centre.

We offer activities to promote confidence, independence and choice including:
- arts projects
- drama workshops
- music
- poetry
- using community facilities
- linking with adult education
- sports activities
- social activities
We regularly meet together to review progress to make sure your individual needs are being met.
